Holiday in Italy

Why is Tuscany and Umbria the perfect holiday choice?

TuscanyThe border area between Tuscany and Umbria in the middle part od Italy offers an abundance of opportunities for the visitor. The medieval towns of Umbria sit like pearls on a string, and Tuscany's hilly green landscapes with cypresses proudly lining the countryside, can fill even the most culturally starved traveller.

Life in the centre of Italy is set back in time - the marketrs in the villages are not made for tourism, and so much better the experience when you venture off in the small villages to bargain for the price of a table-cloth or buy a bit of the specialities of the area; Truffle, wild boar, fresh pasta, superb olive oils, wine of the highest class, cappuccino at the market place, or how about wild rosemary to spice the food with...

It is not far to the larger cities where you can easily spend a whole day - Rome, Florence, Assisi, Orvieto, Siena, Montepulciano and it is only a couple of hours drive to either the coast in Tuscany or at Rimini on the eastern side. The second largest lake in Italy, Lake Trasimeno is situated here in the green heart of Italy with a tremndously interesting history and definitely something to take time out to visit if you want to experience the real Italy up close.

The beautiful landscape is perfect for walking or biking, on the country roads, on the many gravel roads which cuts through the fields, or in the big forest-covered areas.

Lake Trasimeno Umbria...And it has actually become really easy to get here by route of the European Highway or by plane to Perugia, Pisa, Bologna, Rome or Florence. If you dare take an adventure then the area around Tuscany and Umbria is a sure success and an area not yet spoiled by tourism!

Ciao e ci vediamo.
