Poggio dei Laghi

This is our own little place here in the village of Vaiano set on a hillside between the lakes Trasimeno and Chiusi. We live here ourselves and will provide you with a high level service during your holiday. You can have one of our three lovely apartments, all of them decorated in their own color and style with a view of the valley and Lake Trasimeno. The common garden is to enjoy with the pool (6x12 metres with roman stairs) BBQ, pizza oven and free wireless internet. Only 15 minutes from the A1.

Il Girasole

Lovely spacious apartment situated on the ground floor. Sleeps 4 in big common sleeping area with double bed and bunk-bed, bathroom with shower and kitchen-livingroom. The apartment have its own terrace with a nice view over the valley and Lake Trasimeno with direct access to the garden and pool area. Il Girasole is very suitable for families with small children or people with mobility problems. We have everything for the very small ones such as weekend bed, high chair and more.

Price is inclusive linen, towels, gas, water, electricity and final cleaning. Changeover day Saturday arrival after 15.00 and departure before 12.00.

Il Miele

Very cosy apartment on the ground floor for 2 persons. The apartment consists of kitchen-livingroom, bathroom and bedroom. Private terrace with a nice view over the valley and direct access to the common garden where you can relax with a good book or just enjoying the peace and quiete surroundings.

L´Olio

This beautifull apartment is set on the second floor with its own terrace on the roof with stunning view. Consists of kitchen-livingroom, bathroom and seperate bedroom. Normally you can consider it suitable for 2 persons, but with smaller children it can take four. The apartment is set very private and from the terrace you can in good weather conditions see parts of the mountains in north-east Umbria.

More about the place...

We took over the place here on the border between Tuscany and Umbria in July 2005, and started imediately the renovation, and the first guests to be welcomed on their holiday in Vaiano arrived in March 2006. Years have now passed very quickly, and we look back at some splendid summer-seasons with lots of happy guests! We can only be thankfull for all the kind words you have written to us. Our own olive-oil as we worked so hard for in the olivegrove, and got pressed into 1.st class vergin olive oil sold very good over the past years - Actually it got sold out, but no worries - next season we will have a new batch of the fine liquid available for you all again!

Our guests can be sure to have a high level service, as we live here ourselves and everybody gets spoiled from the first day right through the holiday. A cosy atmosphere sorrounds our place with common pizza-night every week in the high season, where the guests are making their own pizza´s. Vaiano sure is a nice little village in the countryside, but also very lively and ofcourse you say "Buongiorno" when you meet one of the locals passing by. The local Grosers only 100metres up the street, where you will find everything you need, even fresh meat. On the village "Piazza" (200 metres) you´ll find the local bar where you can enjoy a cup of cappuccino in company with the locals, here you also find a very well kept tennis court,- write youselves in at the bar and 1.st. set is on! In the nearby surroundings you find some of the most authentic restaurants which will spellbind the guests with the "Poor umbrian kitchen"

Just 200 metres up our local street you can visit "Madrevite" Vaiano´s answer to a wine experience which will amaze you. During the season we are glad to acompany you to visit and taste the wines!. There´s a "Put and take" lake only 5 chilometres away and even a small golfcourse not more than 8 chilometres away from Vaiano. Cycling and hiking are highly recomended activities in the hills between the two lakes with gravel roads and stunning views. Here at Poggio dei Laghi we offer free wireless internet connection at your disposal.
