Il Vecchio Frantoio

Just a few steps from the town gate of Panicale this old olive-oil mill is set with great respect for the architecture and not spoiling the environment. The apartment is made into a lovely big "study" suitable for couples or a small family of 3 persons. Here you have cafees, restaurants, theater, shopping and even the local church just by the door.

The antique walls and the typical arches in the old olive-oil mill gives this holiday apartment a very special charm. Il Vecchio Frantoio is the perfect choice for a romantic holiday in medieval surroundings. Panicale is set on a hilltop overlooking Lake Trasimeno, and there's only a short distance to some of the modt exciting sights in the area on the borderline betwen Tuscany and Umbria. 

The apartment

When you step into the apartment you can see the whole lenghth of it! In the big livingroom with the old arched cieling you have sitting area, sofabed, TV and a fireplace. On your right hand behind one of the typical arches well hidden in an old cupboard you'll find the kitchen. The sleeping area is behind another arch in the backend of the partment with a double bed, from where you have views of Lake Trasimeno through the window. There's a nice bathroom with the sink seperated from the rest of the toilet and shower in a nice designed room shaped as a half-moon. Two steps down leads you to a smaller storing room with washing machine at your disposal. 

Prices

Booking second or third week discount 10%. The prices are inclusive linen, towels, gas (not for heating) electricity, water and final cleaning. Gas for heating is payed seperately with Euro 10,- a night. Changeover day Saturday with arrival after 15.00 and departure before 10.00.

More about the place...

Panicale belongs to one of the more progressive old towns in the area by the lake, and during the season you sense that they have really done their best to expose themselves. On the town piazza you have weekly live music, espescially classic music, and there's always a "Sagra" (town festival) going on during the season with many different theme's. Wine tastings and events with the local kitchen is often seen, and we are always updated with the latests news about what happens in Panicale. Il Vecchio Frantoio is a very good starting point for touring the area, where you have both Lake Trasimeno and Lake Chiusi around the corner. If you want a holiday with art and culture on your wish list, then this is a very good choice for less money than many other places!
